The front depicts the laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, drapery on his far shoulder, inscription IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG / The back with the Roman goddess Pietas standing, hands extended before her, inscription P M TR P COS III around; VOT-PVB across.
Measures 19mm, weighs 3.65 grams. Literary/scholastic references: RIC 141, Sear 3549, RSC 1477 for type. Coin a little darker than photo allows. Great portrait! Ex De Pere, WI collection. This would make an excellent addition to any collection!
