EGB456: Ancient Egyptian Tube Bead Necklace

Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom to Late Dynastic Period, c. 1570-535 BC. Beautiful necklace composed of colorful Ancient Egyptian faience disk beads interspersed with blue / green faience tube beads. These extremely high-quality beads were crafted of faience, a porcelain/glass-like material which turned bright colors when fired in the kiln.

Re-strung on sturdy necklace wire with silver clasp. Each measures approximately 19" long. Individual examples vary slightly in appearance, the necklace you receive may be different than the example pictured. Beads ex-Simonian family collection, Switzerland, formed in the 1960's.
